For more than two decades, Emma Cartmell has been a significant force in enabling better patient care and enhanced individual health through healthcare innovation and investment. As COO, she was an essential participant in the launch of NantHealth, a $1 billion private healthcare fund focused on delivering transformative healthcare. As a founding partner in Exsede Healthcare Consulting, she guided emerging technology companies focused on precision medicine, health analytics, information technology and wellness through processes that included capital acquisition, growth strategy creation and partnership development. Emma is currently a Managing Director at the Cappello Group, a global M&A investment bank, where she advises healthcare companies on growth, investment and exit strategies. She is a member of Morgan Stanley’s Equity Expansion Fund advisory board, in addition to serving in the non-profit sector on the boards of HIMSS North America and the Austin Healthcare Council.
Earlier in her distinguished career, Emma led SAIC’s Healthcare Advanced Program division and was Director of Business Development for the Health Solutions Business Unit where she helped federal government agencies identify innovative solutions and built a $1 billion sales pipeline. A native of the UK, she is an advisor to the UK Department of International Trade on commercialization and investment opportunities in digital health and life sciences. Emma is a graduate of both the University of Brighton in Sussex and King’s College, London.
